Since November of 2013, Foster Elementary School has used Artsonia to host student art.  For the most part it has been very well received.  No child is required to have their art published, however I do photograph ever student's art to ensure that I have digital portfolios, which as an art teacher is very important in seeing growth over time.

I also love the dialogue which occurs when family members and friends can comment on the art of the students, as well as the ability of the students to write artist statements.

While I have received many positive comments about Artsonia, I have received a few (so far, fewer than 10) concerns.  I have addressed those concerns by creating Tutorials.

Concern One:  How do I invite "Fans"/Family members to leave comments?  (See the Tutorials page.)

Concern Two:  Why are the comments not showing up?  Parents must approve all comments from within their account.  No comments will be posted, including those left by parents, without that approval.  This is one of the many safety feature of Artsonia's

Concern Three: How do I stop receiving those Artsonia promotional emails?  (See the Tutorials page.)

If you have other concerns, PLEASE let me know.  I have been in contact with Artsonia regarding making parent sign up easier, and they have made a few changes this year.  I am also happy to create any tutorials which you need.  It is no bother.  I want to make this a positive experience for everyone.

Thank you,
