Kids Talk About their Art - Thanks to Tellagami, an iOS app
One of the classes became so engaged with Zentangles that some even began to study their math facts while creating them. One student offered that she could now remember a math fact that she just couldn't remember previously. One student wrote a poem about math and Zentangles. That shouldn't really be surprising; art and math have had a long history together. You can listen to Kate read her poem above.

The above Gami was created by a student reading what he wrote about his art. He really wanted his character to be wearing a suit. You can hear his voice - I hope that you can hear how proud he is!

Being with family is lovely!
Another proud artist!
I am proud that this student worked so hard - she was absent for a class, and was determined to finish as much as possible. Great job!
Another lovely family.
Jack says it all!
Great questions to ask kids about their art; 1) Tell me about your art.. 2) I wonder why you think that? 3) How did you make it? 4) What is most important to you? 5) Is there anything that you would change? Why or why not? 6) Nod your head and smile. They usually keep on telling you more! |

I love those long arms!
This Gami uses typed words and a computer voice. The thoughts are all Henoc's, and his Gami is standing on Henoc's art. You can choose to use the actual voices of the children.
